The IDF is Bad at Math
Recklessly killing civilians is brutal and stupid, full stop
The IDF continues blowing up Palestinian civilians, which:
1) Motivates Hamas to continue their strategy of using them — and the hostages — as human shields
2) Demotivates Hamas to negotiate the release of any more hostages
3) Destroys empathy the world had for Israel from the October 7th attacks
4) Fuels radicalization for generations to come
5) Fuels antisemitism around the world
6) Heightens the risk for an escalation of the war to other fronts
7) Heightens the risk for terrorist attacks throughout the world, including the United States
8 ) Makes people think that IDF strategists can’t hold two ideas in their heads at the same time, namely a) We need to kill Hamas leadership; and b) We shouldn’t recklessly kill children
9) Makes people think that IDF strategists and Israeli leadership don’t give a shit about killing children
10) Go back to 1) and repeat over and over again, just like these senseless cycles of violence…
Do the math. Weigh the benefit of killing Hamas leaders without bothering to explore options that don’t include killing civilians, and Israel is worse off, not better or safer.
Meanwhile, overheard in NYC:
“The IDF sees a Hamas mofo chillin’ in an orphanage, and Israel has no problem sending in the F-15s with US-made guided missiles to take them all out…”
